Bald Eagle Area’s Zach Moody turned in a standout performance in boys’ track and field at the Lock Haven Invitational on Friday, finishing first in the 2,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 6:49.19.
Moody also had two other top-10 finishes, and teammate Nathan Styles had three top-10 finishes to help the Eagles place 11th in a field of 17 teams. Penns Valley finished 10th. The Rams’ top finish also came in the 2,000-meter steeplechase by Gino Nicosia, who was second with a time of 6:59.56.
For Bald Eagle Area, Moody was ninth in the 1,600 (4:47.80) and 10th in the 3,200 (10:32.65). Styles was fourth in both the 200 (23.91) and 400 (52.05) in additing to placing ninth in the 100 (12.10). Tanner Cramer grabbed fifth in the shot put (43-7), and Hunter Hall was fifth in the discus (123-11.25).
Penns Valley’s Bryan Wasson finished fourth in the triple jump (38-10.50) and seventh in the long jump (19-4.25). Other Rams’ top-10 finishes included: Nick Fuller (eighth in the 3,200); Ryan Riegel (fifth in the 2,000 steeplechase); Haven Tucker (sixth in the pole vault); Collin Egelhoff (10th in the discus).
