After spotting Punxsutawney an early one-run lead, Bald Eagle Area rallied for a 3-1 victory Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Chucks completed a doubleheader, falling to Philipsburg-Osceola in the morning.
Nicole Dipietro led off the bottom of the first inning with a home run to give the Lady Chucks the lead.
BEA finally answered in the sixth with a Marissa Tobias two-run double, and Logan Fischer plated the insurance run off Dipietro, who gave up six hits for the loss. Olivia Andrews had two hits for BEA (14-3).
Makenna Dyke gave up four hits and one walk with five strikeouts for the win.
“Makenna pitched a really nice ballgame,” Lady Eagles coach Curt Heverly said. “She pitched a solid one-run game, a four-hitter. She did well.”
