Bald Eagle Area scored a pair of second-half goals to rally past Philipsburg-Osceola 2-1 Saturday morning, landing a win over their rivals for the first time in the careers of the Eagles’ seniors.
“We had tied them a couple times before,” BEA coach Jason Bair said. “I’m glad we were finally able to get it.”
Austin Krise put the Mounties on the board with 4:35 left in the first half.
Chris Dunklebarger tied it with help from Jared Gettig 16:24 into the second half, and Seth Koleno netted the winner 3:34 later with an easy tap-in from a few yards away after Brandon Gettig drew keeper Joe Bickle to the side and crossed the ball to an open Koleno.
Never miss a local story.
Bickle made nine saves while Alex Boyer stopped two shots for BEA.
