Drew Friberg got hot late and Tyler Hall was clutch at the free throw line to help lift the Little Lions to a 47-45 win over Carlisle in overtime on Tuesday.
State College (5-5) found itself down by 10 after the first quarter but whittled that deficit to five by halftime. The Little Lions took advantage from the free throw line in the second half. Tyler Snyder made five of his six free throws in the third and Friberg drained all four of his in the fourth to help send the game to overtime.
Friberg began overtime with two straight baskets and Hall hit a late free throw to secure State College’s win. Friberg finished with 14 points while Alex McCann added 13. Hall chipped in eight for the Little Lions (5-5), who also improved to .500 in the Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division.
DeShawn Millington led all players with 23 points for Carlisle (7-4).
