Drew Friberg scored 18 points as the State College boys’ basketball team rallied in the second half to defeat Cumberland Valley 50-47 in Mid Penn League action on Tuesday.
The Little Lions (7-6) climbed above the .500 mark for the first time since the end of the 2012-13 season. They trailed 23-19 at the half, but tied the game at 36-36 heading into the final quarter.
Friberg, a freshman, was the catalyst in the win, draining three 3-pointers. Tyler Smith added 12 points and Alex McCann netted nine.
Adam Hawk had 14 points to pace the Eagles.
