The State College tennis seniors went 2-0 on their Senior Night as they beat both Chambersburg and Carlisle by identical scores of 4-1.
Senior Sam Wherely and his partner Sebastian Forest won their doubles match, Wherely then went on to win a singles match. Teammate Matt Wherley won both of his singles matches.
Other State College winners included Dan Shull, Fernando del Castillo, Lucas Forest, and Matt Bristol.
The night was also big for Little Lion coach Jane Borden, who earned her 300th career victory after the team defeated Chambersburg.
“It was a great day for tennis,” she said. “We have such a wonderful team and a great group of seniors. It’s always a special night when we get to honor the guys who have meant so much to the program through the years.”
Six seniors will be leaving the program.
State College will travel to Susquehanna on Wednesday.
