Rebecca Bierly led Penns Valley runners in the top three spots for a pair of wins to close the regular season Thursday, beating Tyrone 20-37 and Central 17-41.
Bierly covered the 5 kilometers in a course-record 19 minutes, 16 seconds. Malarie Yoder took second in 19:50 and Karly Smith placed third in 22:08 for the Lady Rams. Abigail Duvall and Madison Bair were sixth and 10th, respectively, to round out the team’s scoring five.
“The girls continue to show remarkable improvement as they go in to the final stretch of our season,” coach Lynda Federinko said after five of her six runners hit personal-best times.
