Despite a 31-point night from Drew Friberg and a 50-point second half as a team, the State College boys’ basketball team’s comeback fell short 70-69 Friday night against Central Dauphin East.
Friberg scored 24 of his points after intermission and was 10 for 10 from the foul line as part of his big night. Tommy Sekunda added 16 points for the Little Lions (1-3).
The Panthers (3-1) were paced by Evan Chandler’s 22 points, Justin Henry’s 11 and Jordan Gillis’ 10.
State College struggled through the first half and trailed 32-19 at the break, and was down by 15 points early in the fourth quarter.
