Former Bellefonte High School and current Edinboro University wrestler Mitchell Port is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.
Port, a two-time All-American, went 6-0 during the week at the 141-pound weight class.
After his opponent in the NWCA All-Star Classic scratched on Saturday, Port hopped in a car and drove to the Clarion Open. Port went 5-0 in the event, topping Clarion’s Brock Zacherl 9-6 in the title match. His semifinal triumph was his 100th career collegiate win.
On Thursday, Port pinned Pittsburgh’s Travis Shaffer in the third period. Port was one of only three winners as the 10th-ranked Scots fell 25-13 to the No. 14 Panthers.

With his triumph, Port, a 2013 NCAA runner-up, improved to 102-15 for his career.
