The State College Spikes announced their schedule for the 2016 New York-Penn League season Friday.
The Spikes’ season opener is set for June 17 at Williamsport. State College’s home opener is June 18 against the Crosscutters, who won the Pinckney Division in 2015. It will be the first of 38 home games.
The Spikes will take on defending New York-Penn League champion West Virginia in a three-game road series from June 25-27. State College hosts West Virginia for six games, from July 31-Aug. 2 and from Aug. 9-11.
Overall, State College hosts Williamsport for five games, Mahoning Valley and Auburn for six games each and Batavia for three games in division play.

The Spikes also have three-games home series against the Aberdeen IronBirds, Brooklyn Cyclones, Hudson Valley Renegades and Staten Island Yankees.
Hudson Valley will host the New York-Penn League All-Star Game on Aug. 16.
State College’s final home game is against Williamsport on Sept. 4, and its regular season finale is at Williamsport on Sept. 5.
