The Muckdogs took the opening game of the day 4-1, as State College (25-13) took 2 of 3 games in the series and maintained the New York-Penn League’s best record and the Pinckney Division lead.
Mick Fennel keyed the win in the nightcap with a 3 for 4 game including an RBI double, as every starter reached base in the 12-hit attack as the teams played a pair of seven-inning contests.
John Kilichowski and Harley Holt combined on the five-hitter, with Holt (1-0) earning the win. Kilichowski struck out six over 4 2/3 innings.
