Chicago waives Brazilian defender Menezes

The Chicago Fire waived Brazilian defender Bruno Menezes on Wednesday.

Menezes, 24, played in three games, including two starts, during his career in Chicago. The Santos, Brazil native did not appear for the Fire first team in 2008.

Chicago (4-1-1) visits D.C. United on Thursday night.
