A six-run third inning gave Unionville an 8-3 lead and it held on for a 9-8 win over Centre Hall in Centre County League action on Wednesday.
Chris Helwig’s two-run double and two of the Senators’ six errors helped Unionville put six runs across in the third inning. J.R. Lucas added a pair of hits.
David Fisher went all seven innings for Unionville, allowing 10 hits, walking three and striking out four.
Rich Auman hit a three-run home run in the first inning and added a solo shot in the seventh for Centre Hall (2-16), which also got two hits apiece fromShane Merion, Andy Wianand Steven Alterio.
Milroy 11, Bellefonte Brewers 3
MILROY — Jonathan Worley andAbner Druckenmiller homered as part of the Predators’ 13-hit attack and Kalen Gearhart pitched six strong innings.
Gearhart, Elliot Searer and Chad Batista added two base hits apiece for Milroy (14-7), which scored at least one run in the bottom of each inning.
Greg Reeder paced the Brewers with two hits and drove in all of his team’s runs with a three-run homer in the third inning.
