The Norwood family tree keeps on giving for Penn State.
The Nittany Lions received an oral commitment this week from Levi Norwood, a former State College Area High School wide receiver currently living in Waco, Texas.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Norwood is the son of former Penn State safeties coach Brian Norwood, who is now the defensive coordinator at Baylor, and the younger brother of Jordan Norwood, the Nittany Lions’ fourth-leading all-time receiver. He did not play football last season at Midway High School in Waco, Texas, but turned in an impressive performance at a senior camp on the Penn State campus last weekend and is expected to play for Midway as a senior.
Norwood, Penn State’s 11th commitment in the Class of 2010, is also a former teammate of State College wideout Alex Kenney, who is considering an offer from Penn State as well as those from several other schools.
