CLARENCE — Brad Young hit a third-inning grand slam Thursday to help push Clarence past the Bellefonte Governors 8-4 in Centre County League baseball.
Clarence (17-3) took a 5-1 lead in the third after Dave Fye and Kyle Gavlock walked as Brian Kochik singled before Young’s blast to center field.
The Mounties added three more in the fourth, highlighted by Corey Guenot’s run-scoring single.
Dave Urbanik tossed a complete-game win, allowing 10 hits.
Bellefonte scored three runs in the seventh, led by a two-run single from Chris Gates and an RBI single by Sean Kerr.
