BELGRADE, Serbia — Penn State’sTalor Battle was one of seven Team USA players to score in double figures in the American’s 113-76 victory over South Korea on Saturday in the World University Games.
Battle had 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field and 2-of-4 on 3-pointers. The rising junior added four rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes.
James Anderson (Oklahoma State) and Quincy Pondexter (Washington) led the U.S. (2-0) with 14 points each.
Team USA advances to the second round, where it will face Greece (1-1) on Monday and Serbia (2-0) on Tuesday.
