MANSFIELD — Pitcher Vince Molesky struck out 12 and tossed a nine-inning two-hitter Sunday as Williamsport outlasted Bellefonte 1-0 in a championship flight elimination game at the Joel Stephens Invitational.
Williamsport scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth when John Taddeo doubled and was plated by Brian Fisher’s two-single up the middle.
Levi Knoffsinger took the loss for Bellefonte (17-12).
Williamsport went on to drop an 8-7 decision in the championship game to Cherry Hill, N.J.
