STATE COLLEGE — The State College boys' soccer team took down state-ranked Central Dauphin 2-0 Tuesday.
Kelton Cheney scored for the Little Lions (10-4-1) in the 14th minute with the game remaining scoreless until Robbie Edward’s penalty-kick goal in the 72nd minute.
“Andy Blunk was just all over the field winning every head ball,” said State College coach John Marsden. “That was a huge win beating a team like that. A team we could see down the road in the playoffs.”
Central Dauphin (14-4) entered Tuesday’s matchup still undefeated in the Mid- Penn Conference.
Silks’ three goals leads Rams to win
HUNTINGDON — Penns Valley’s Tyler Silks netted a hat trick Tuesday night as the Rams bounced Huntingdon 3-0.
Ram keeper Nate Sweeley backed up a strong defensive effort with six saves in goal.
“Our defense was on Huntingdon like brown on toast,” said Penns Valley coach Scott Case about his team’s shutout performance.
Anthony Glossner assisted on Silk’s first two goals, which came in the 38th and 45th minutes respectively. Stefan Kelly assisted on the final goal for Penns Valley (13-2-1) in the 57th minute.
Bellefonte falls
MILL HALL — Central Mountain’s Doug Chatterton netted two goals and Bellefonte couldn’t bounce back in a 2-1 loss Tuesday.
After the first Chatterton goal at the 28:40 mark, Bellefonte (3-13-1) came back with a goal from Brandon Richards, assisted by Tyler Hill. Chatterton would net the game winner in the second half in the 78th minute. Mike Jessop was solid in goal for the Red Raiders, stopping 14 shots. Bellefonte hosts Bald Eagle Area on Thursday.
Grace Prep falls in double OT
ALTOONA — Grace Prep dropped a 4-3 heartbreaker in double overtime to Great Commission Tuesday.

Lady Rams oust Huntingdon
SPRING MILLS — Penns Valley used two goals in the final 20 minutes to upend Huntingdon 3-1 Tuesday, earning a split in the season series.
Tied at 1-1 midway through the second half, Penns Valley’s Carolyn Darr scored in the 62nd minute off an assist from Leah Mothersbaugh. Heather Holmes then scored with less than three minutes left to play to finish off the Lady Bearcats.
“We controlled the game in the first half pretty easily,” said Penns Valley coach Jeff Wiest. “In the second half, they really came on and it was going back and forth both ways. When they scored their goal, it sort of woke us up a little bit.”
Darr’s go-ahead goal came less than five minutes after Huntingdon’s Rachel Woods tied the game in the 58th minute. Liz Ventura put the Lady Rams (10-7) up 1-0 with her first-half goal.
CCCA rolls by Calvary Christian
HUNTINGDON — Makayla Donleyhad two goals and an assist as Centre County Christian dominated Calvary Christian in the second half for a 5-1 victory on Tuesday.
Morgan Donleyadded a pair of goals for CCCA, which scored four goals in the second half after Ginny Martin tied the game for Calvary Christian three minutes before halftime.
Naomi Cahillopened the scoring andHannah Thomasmade 11 saves in net for the Lady Bulldogs (7-2), who open the ACAA Tournament as the second seed on Thursday in Sun-bury.
Grace Prep comes up short
ALTOONA — Grace Prep struggled on offense in a 3-1 loss to Great Commission Tuesday.
WhileKalki Streit found the back of the net for the Lady Storm (5-8-1). Meagan Foxplayed in goal and recorded four saves.
Bellefonte blanked
BELLEFONTE — Bellefonte struggled to find the net in a tough 2-0 loss to Central Mountain Tuesday.
The first goal of the game didn’t come until 7:25 left from Central Mountain’s Jacque Bilski with an assist from Johanna Barbrick. Morgan Walker put the game away for good at the 1:22 mark with an unassisted goal. Amanda Barnes stopped the only shot she faced for the Wildcats. Bellefonte (13-4) travels Thursday to rival Bald Eagle Area.

P-O sweeps BEA
PHILIPSBURG — Philipsburg- Osceola survived a close second game Tuesday but still earned a sweep over Bald Eagle Area 25-14, 25-22, 25-15.
The Lady Mounties (18-2, 15-0 Mountain League) and Lady Eagles were tied at 20- 20 in the second game but P-O was able to outlast BEA’s run for a commanding 2-0 lead in the match.
Natasha Frankled P-O in kills (9), digs (7) and blocks (4).Taylor Harpsterhad four blocks to go along with 17 service points, which included four aces.Kelsey Gonderled the way in assists with 20.
BEA was led byKelsey Shaw’s19 assists, Kendra Fetzer’seight kills and Cortney Switzer’seight digs.
Penns Valley drops Tyrone
SPRING MILLS — Mikayla Paolinihad 23 assists Tuesday to help lead Penns Valley past Tyrone 25-6, 25-16, 25-9.
