Age has its privileges in Centre County. People who are 60 or older qualify for a variety of programs offered through the Centre County Office of Aging and its six senior centers.
The local centers offer everything from line dancing and billiards to more traditional fare such as cards and crafts.
The county also offers a Telephone Touch Reassurance Program, a daily safety check in which emergency procedures go into effect if a person does not answer a call.
