Commuter Coffee

In honor of Bike Month, Centre Bike members will host Commuter Coffee Friday events where cyclists can enjoy a free morning cup of Joe and the chance for commuters to swap stories, encourage cycling to work and ask questions about bicycling.

World Channel documentary

World Channel, a digital subchannel showing public TV non-fiction, science, nature, news, public affairs and documentaries, will show WPSU TV producer Kristian Berg’s “Poustinia: The Art of Gendron Jensen,” a documentary about an artist who dedicated his life to meticulously rendering bones and nature.

Book Sale

Mother’s Day weekend isn’t complete without the start of the annual AAUW Used Book Sale. The 54th sale will feature more than 200,000 books in 33 categories. Admission is free, and books are half price on May 11 and a bag of books costs $5 on May 12. Proceeds from the sale benefit equity and advancement programs for women and girls.
