This weekend’s Best Bets for entertainment

MUSIC

More than a dozen performers will take part in the 2015 Summer Jazz Celebration, the multi-day festival that’s now in its 11th year. Organized by the nonprofit JazzPA, concerts feature headliners such as guitarist Gene Bertoncini and local artists including the Zeropoint Big Band.

EVENT

Participants of The Flutopia 5K will be helped through their run by musicians stationed along the course. Runners of all ages and experience levels are welcome, with a special “Flutastic 50-Yard Dash” for children after the main event. Proceeds go toward Centre Volunteers in Medicine and Doctors Without Borders.

THEATER

Mystery fans will have their hands full with Millbrook Playhouse’s “Dial ‘M’ for Murder,” a play based on the Alfred Hitchcock movie of the same name. Directed by Morgan Sills, the cast includes James Cella as Tony Wendice and Grace Experience as Margot Wendice.

FILM

Viewers can watch an early 1990s classic like never before with Movies on the Mountain: “Hook.” The outdoor movie features Happy Valley as a backdrop and a screen set up in the Tussey Mountain Amphitheater.
