Prime Video Cancels 'The Runarounds:' The Show is Over, But the Music Continues
On April 3, 2026, Deadline reported that Prime Video had canceled The Runarounds after just one season. The show, which was created by Jonas Pate, one of the co-creators of Outer Banks, focused on a band of the same name chasing their rock dreams after graduating from high school.
Deadline's report was updated to note that the actors who portrayed the fictional band reacted to the news on social media. The group, William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher, told fans they were going to continue as a band despite their show ending.

After The Boys became one of the most-talked-about shows on television, Prime Video produced a spin-off titled Gen V. On April 24, 2026, Deadline reported that Gen V had been canceled and the streaming service was going to focus on The Boys' upcoming second spin-off, Vought Rising.
While Gen V never reached the level of success or pop culture significance of The Boys, it was embraced by critics. The series earned an impressive 94% Rotten Tomatoes score.
Prime Video Pulls the Plug on Highly Anticipated 'Stargate' Revival Before Production Begins
On June 2, 2026, Variety reported that a previously announced upcoming Stargate series from Martin Gero had been canceled before filming began. Gero was set to work on the show as a writer, executive producer, and showrunner after previously working on Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis as a writer. According to the report, executives axed the show over concerns that the planned series wouldn't appeal to people outside of the franchise's already loyal fans.
