Good Life

The Tornado

Outside the wind blew frantically

As the lightning lit up the sky

The thunder sounded like a train

As the day turned into night

As we huddled in the corner

Filled with uncertainty and fear

We hugged and we wept silently

As the giant storm grew near

You could feel the tornado touch the ground

As the house began to shake

The wooden frame,reduced to splinters

All the glass began to break

Then a miracle somehow happened

As we joined our hands to pray

The sunlight warmed our faces

As the tornado blew away

The entire house had been destroyed

Except our little corner of the room

All our possesions had been taken away

And our hearts were filled with gloom

Then all of a sudden we realized

That all of us had survived

Material things can be replaced

But God had saved our lives
