Good Life

Where Would America Be?

Memorial Day, May 30, 2011

Today, we remember our fallen

Who died to keep us free.

If not for their dedication

Where would America be?

They fought at home and abroad

In war after war, you see.

If not for their love of country

Where would America be?

Memories are etched forever.

They gave us hope and liberty.

If not for the price they paid

Where would America be?

We come and go day after day.

We do whatever we please

If not for their sacrifice

Where would America be?

Pride, Honor and Deliverance

The past and future will see.

If not for their loving service

Where would America be?

They did it ‘for country’

They did it for family and me.

If not for their selflessness

Where would America be?

Now, we say thank you

From sea to shining sea.

If not for them, our heroes

Where would America be?

Today, we remember our fallen

Who died to keep us free.

If not for them, I ask

Where would America be?

God Bless America

Land that I love.
