Lovers of ’80s music enjoyed “Rock the 80’s,” with 12 local bands performing in front of a sellout crowd. This is the third year that J.R. Mangan, of Café 210 West, has organized and helped deliver a concert that benefits the Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund, which provides financial support for local cancer patients who face serious financial concerns.
Twelve local bands performed hits from the ’80s, including Cone of Silence, Frankwater Jack, The Insomniacs, J.R. and Olivia, Mr. Hand, Natascha & Cone of Silence, Screwdriver Sally, Spider Kelly, The Feats of Strength, The Long Afternoon, Tongue and Groove and Velveeta.
