66th Bellefonte Children’s Fair

This long-time Bellefonte tradition will be held June 6, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Armor and Curtin streets. The event includes games, hands-on crafts, familiar characters and activities targeted toward children. This event is sponsored by the Bellefonte Sunrise Rotary Club, community volunteers including high school athletic/club students and local businesses. Proceeds benefit Bellefonte area playgrounds.

“Camp Kilimanjaro” Vacation Bible School

•  Pre-safari carnival on June 26 at Nittany Bible Church, 461 Diebler Road, Pennsylvania Furnace. Events include a petting zoo, children’s games, archery shooting and a bounce house, all at 4 p.m., as well as a pig roast at 5:30. Those who preregister for Vacation Bible School will receive a CD and a safari stuffed animal.



•  Vacation Bible school from June 28-July 7 at Nittany Bible Church, 461 Diebler Road, Pennsylvania Furnace. Rangers (from 4-year-olds to 6th grade) will enjoy an epic journey. Discovery Days at Millbrook Marsh

Visit the marshland and participate in an activity or examine a display, then enjoy a nature walk through the marsh at your own pace. Saturdays, June 20 and July 18, from 10 a.m.-noon and Sundays,, June 21 and July 19 from 1-3 p.m.

Touch a Truck Expo

The 11th annual Touch A Truck event will be held at the State College Area High School North Building driver training lot on June 27 from 1-4 p.m. Kids can interact with big trucks, dump trucks and fire trucks. Event sponsored by Centre Region Parks and Recreation Authority and Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc.
