Camps run from June-August. Kids are divided by age into groups: Journey Camp — first grade; Adventure Camp — Grades 2 and 3; Quest Camp — Grades 4, 5 and 6. Activities include cooperative games, arts and crafts, science experiments, cooking, team-building and swimming. Field trips include destinations such as Indian Caverns, DelGrosso Amusement Park, Black Moshannon State Park, Lake Raystown and Bald Eagle State Park. Call 355-5551 for more information.

Camps run from June 4 through Aug. 21, with a talent show on Aug. 20. Applications are available at the YMCA or online. Field trips destinations include Delgrosso’s, Lakemont Park, Little League World Series site, Black Moshannon State Park,Osceola Mills Pool, Weis Markets, County Market, Heritage Days, State College YMCA, Reptiland and Ag Progress Days.

Summer Day Camps
Camp Explorers (ages 5-8) and Camp Trailblazers (ages 9-12) include activities such as swimming, sports, music, clubs, arts and crafts and occasional special guests. Each week features a special theme and field trip.
Tussey Mountain Adventure Day Camp (ages 8-12) includes fishing, hiking, swimming, sports, orientiering, golf, environmental studies and clubs. Each week features field trips.
Leader in Training Program (ages 13 and older) allows these campers to assist counselors with all aspects of day camps, teaching counseling techniques, group dynamics, camp programming and leadership skills.
Counselor In Training Program (ages 15 and older) for teens who have already been a Leader In Training for two years. These campers assist in the supervision of Leaders In Training in addition to other duties.
All campers must be YMCA members at the time of registration and while participating in camps. Completed health appraisal forms myst be completed and on file at the YMCA by June 8.
Parent Night is June 4 at 6:30 p.m. Registration must be done in person.
