Join Centre Region Parks and Recreation staff to decorate your bike on July 3, 7-7:30 p.m. at Holmes-Foster Park, Pavilion No. 2 for the “Kids on Wheels” parade July 4. Streamers and tape supplied.
Be part of the annual free “CRPR Kids-on-Wheels” parade at 9:30 a.m. July 4. Bring your bike, wagon, scooter, stroller or skateboard to the corner of East Foster Avenue and Locust Lane. The parade ends at Friedman Park, where the group will celebrate by singing Happy Birthday and eating watermelon. This event is free.

Wings in the Park
Join in the annual celebration of butterflies, bees and blossoms with activities, exhibits and presentations at Tom Tudek Memorial Park, 400 Herman Drive, State College, July 18, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Millbrook Marsh Nature Center, 548 Puddintown Road, State College, invites families to visit the marsh and enjoy a short activity or display, then take a free nature walk through the marsh on July 18, from 10 a.m.-noon, and July 19, from 1-3 p.m. This event is free and no registration is required.
Enjoy games, prizes and theme music at Park Forest Community Pool, 2100 School Drive, State College, on July 22. The “After 5 p.m.” admission rates will apply or enter free with a season pass. The pool will stay open until 9 p.m.
CRPR Splash, Pedal and Dash
The 11th annual Centre Region Parks and Recreation youth triathlon will be held July 25 at the William L. Welch Community Swimming Pool, 670 Westerly Parkway, State College, for ages 6-13.
