Family Life 5K Walk/Run & 10+ Mile Bike Ride
Family Life of Penns Valley will be holding its fourth annual 5K Walk/Run. A 10+ mile bike ride has been added this year. Event is held Aug. 1 with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. Walk/Run begins at 8:30 a.m. and bike ride at 9:30 a.m. Visit www.flpv.org for more information.
St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy Girls Basketball Skills Camp
The goal of this instructional camp is to enhance participant skills in game fundamentals and team play. Girls entering fifth to eighth grade at all skill levels are welcome. Welch Pool Hawaiian Night

Community Sky / Star Watches
At SkyWatch events the public is invited to view the moon, planets and some of the brighter deep-sky objects through a variety of telescopes. Mindfulness Art and Yoga for Parents and Teens
Taking Flight Developmental Center will host a class that brings teens and their parents together to work on new understandings of roles, relationships, trust and boundaries. How parents can help support their teens in transitioning to independence and give teens a way to communicate their experiences with their parents. The yoga portion will focus on building strength, working together and slowing down. Our mindfulness section will focus on finding your wise mind, expressing emotion and thought, hearing each other’s words and conflict resolution.
