STEM committee seeks new members

The AAUW State College branch STEM Committee, co-chaired by Mary Dupuis and Michele Crowl, is looking to strengthen their impact in Centre County by adding new faces and fresh ideas. You do not have to be a member of AAUW to join this committee; you just have to care about promoting STEM opportunities for females of all ages.

The committee supports of a number of programs in partnership with several school districts, Penn State groups and community organizations such as Discovery Space and the Schlow Centre Region Library. Given the shift in priorities occurring at a national level, it is more important than ever to ensure all people, but especially females, have access to science, technology, engineering and math experiences at school and in their communities.

We are inviting new members who want to be a part of a passionate, working committee, as well those who wish to serve in an advisory capacity. If you’re interested in joining our efforts, contact Michele at for more information. Monthly meetings occur September through June, but committee members work throughout the year ensuring a range of opportunities to Centre County females.
