After the first year, washers and dryers have an automatic second limited warranty covering the lid and the gear assembly from the second to fifth years. In addition, a final limited warranty will cover the outer tub from the second to the tenth year.
Refrigerators
Refrigerators and freestanding ice makers also include a one-year limited warranty that covers manufacturer defects and labor costs on critical parts. However, water filters have a 30-day limited warranty that only provides coverage if you maintain it according to manufacturer instructions. A limited warranty also applies to refrigerators from the second to fifth years that covers some parts, including the compressor, condenser, dryer, evaporator and connecting tubes.
