The American Red Cross has scheduled five blood drives in the State College area and on Penn State’s University Park campus over the next two weeks in an effort to replenish an unusually low supply of blood.
All blood types are urgently needed, according to Red Cross officials, but there is especially a need for donations of Type O positive or any negative blood types. The drives scheduled are:
u 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Deike Building on campus
u 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Gate B, Bryce Jordan Center

u noon to 6 p.m. Monday at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Foster Avenue and Fraser Street
u 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 19, Pasquerilla Spiritual Center
u 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 20, Technology Center, Innovation Park (parking available at The Penn Stater Hotel Conference Center.)
