Golf fundraiser for wounded local soldier Adam Hartswick set for June 9

A fundraiser will be held for Sgt. Adam Hartswick at the Skytop Mountain Golf Club in Port Matilda at 2 p.m. on June 9.

Hartswick, a 22-year-old Army medic, lost both of his legs during an Improvised Explosive Device explosion in Afghanistan earlier this month.

The Pine Grove Mills native is being treated at the Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.

The golf tournament will feature Skytop Mountain Golf Club players and Penn State student athletes, including football players. All proceeds will go to the Sgt. Hartwick's Fund.
