Former Penn State professor Hugh Brooks started the group more than 30 years ago to offer live entertainment to prisons, hospitals, nursing homes and other care facilities, according to a news release. The band soon became the sole provider of live therapeutic entertainment for the VA Medical Centers in all 50 states since 1983, according to the release. They present more than 300 shows a year in order to fund the VA program.
The concert is free, but a love offering will be received. For more information, call 814-237-2163 or check out the church’s Facebook page.
