Each Monday the Centre Daily Times will publish an installment in our “Share our Heritage” series, featuring photos from Centre County’s past. Today’s photo is from Patty Shawley.

This photo shows the Cerro Metals supervisory training program graduates at a dinner held in their honor on Thursday, July 25, 1968. Alexander D. Black, area director, Continuing Education at Penn State, was principal speaker and presented certificates of completion to the graduates.

Trainees completed a 14-session, seven-week course of instruction conducted by the management development service at Penn State. Edward Blehl, of Penn State, was the instructor.

Completing the course, but unable to attend the dinner and be present for the picture were Otis Corman, Tom Mensch Jr. and Ronald Thompson.
