Huntingdon woman says she was kidnapped while jogging, escaped her attacker

A Huntingdon woman told police she was abducted while jogging in broad daylight Thursday, but managed to escape from her attacker.

The woman said she was jogging on Henderson Overlook Road between 11:30 a.m. and noon when an unidentified man forced her into the back of a white work van. She said he placed something over her eyes and drove her to a wooded area.

The woman told police she eventually was able to run away and scream for help. A passing motorist heard her screams, stopped and entered the woods, and found her, she said.

State police at Huntingdon are investigating the incident as a kidnapping.
