Centre County police departments will be holding roving DUI patrols over Labor Day weekend, according to a PennDOT news release.
The patrols are a part of a statewide incentive to curb drunken driving, according to the release.
The Centre County Alcohol Task Force consists of departments from Ferguson, Patton and Spring townships, as well as Bellefonte and State College boroughs.
Last year, eight people were killed in the commonwealth, and police responded to 155 impaired-driving crashes during the three-day Labor Day weekend last year, according to PennDOT.
