The Centre Area Transportation Authority will, again, provide shuttle service to Penn State home football games with a route serving downtown State College and another serving Hills Plaza and other South Atherton Street hotels and businesses.
The shuttles begin operation three hours before kickoff and run continuously until one hour after the game ends. Both shuttles operate in both directions about every 10 minutes before the game, every 20 minutes during and every 10 minutes one-way from Beaver Stadium after.
Fare for either shuttle is $3 per one-way trip. Those showing a valid U.S. Medicare card, senior transit identification card or CATA reduced fare identification card may ride for $1.50.
New this fall, riders may purchase round-trip tickets when they board the bus, paying for both trips at once. The cost is $6 per person. Bus drivers do not carry change.
