A man allegedly threatened to slit two people's throats during an argument Saturday in a field near Beaver Stadium, Penn State police said.
Louis Vitko, 25, of Easton, was charged with terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct in connection with the argument at 6:21 p.m. in Lot 12, according to court documents. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
Police said alcohol is believed to be a factor.
Police said they came upon Vitko and two others in a shoving match, but a Penn State officer intervened.
One of the people then told police about Vitko's alleged threats. According to the charging document, Vitko said, "I will slit your throats and watch you bleed."Police said the people earlier saw Vitko use a pocket knife to open a champagne bottle.
His preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 25.
