Work to repair a bridge on Bell Hollow Road in Taylor Township will begin Monday, Sept. 30, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Crews will fill the steel grate deck with concrete, which is expected to extend the useful life of the 36-foot bridge spanning Sparrow Run. It was built in 1939 and carries fewer than 50 vehicles per day.
Local traffic will be able to access either side of Bell Hollow Road during the repair work and will be able to travel around the work zone using Bell Hollow and alternate state Route 220. Work is scheduled to last through Oct. 4.
