The event will consist of an opening ceremony at 12:30 pm, listening to a broadcast from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and a closing ceremony. The event will take place at Mount Nittany Medical Center, 1800 E. Park Ave.
Saturday is recognized as International Survivors of Suicide Day.
A report from the health system said every 40 seconds someone in the world dies by suicide.
