Write-in candidate Bobbi Jo Hamer has filed a petition for a recount in the Port Matilda mayoral race.
According to unofficial results from the Nov. 5 municipal election, write-in candidate Ida Lively received 34 votes, topping Hamer by one vote. Both were seeking to replace current Mayor Bob Wiser, who announced weeks before the election that he had decided not to serve another term and asked voters not to select him. He still received 29 votes.
The Centre County Elections and Voter Registration Office said that no deadline has been set for the recount.
