Three people were injured in a car crash Thursday afternoon on U.S. Route 322 south of Philipsburg in Rush Township.
The road was closed in both directions at about 1:30 p.m. after a car with three occupants slammed into a tree. Two were taken by helicopter and one by ambulance to hospitals.
State police at the scene said three women from the Harrisburg area were in the car. At least one of the women was listed in critical condition by paramedics at the scene, according to police.
Police later identified the driver as an 18-year-old woman, but did not provide her name. They released no additional information on the other occupants.
