Pennsylvania Supreme Court denies appeal for man convicted of gun-toting crime spree

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied a petition for appeal from Anatoliy Veretnov on Feb. 6.

Veretnov was one of three men convicted in 2012 on multiple charges stemming from a series of burglaries and robberies where weapons were brandished, including stolen handguns, an AK-47 rifle and an SKS rifle with a bayonet.

The crimes occurred between late 2009 and March 2010. charges included armed robbery, criminal conspiracy and kidnapping. Veretnov was sentenced in July 2012 to 30 years and six months to 60 years and six months in prison.
