Last Saturday, the Centre County Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education-Centre Line Riders, donated $715.97 to the Milesburg Food Bank.
ABATE spokesman Stephen LaMar said the group raises money in support of community needs. Money was raised this year for the Food Bank from donations from members of the organization, the annual bike show and from proceeds raised from a motorcycle raffle, LaMar added.
“Our group has donated in a big way for the last several years. … This year it was decided that instead of focusing on only one area food bank we were going to start helping others within the county and Milesburg was our choice for 2014,” LaMar said.
A collection of needed food items was also donated by members and delivered at the same time the check was presented, LaMar added.
