State police in Clearfield are investigating a cruelty to animals case that has seen the death of three horses in late March.
Foust’s Farm in Glasgow, Clearfield County, reported three Belgian horses were found dead outside their fence in a remote area off Gill Hollow Road in Beccaria Township, Clearfield County, according to police reports.
The horses’ deaths occurred between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. on three different days. The dead horses are a 10-month-old colt found March 24; an 8-year-old stallion found March 26; and a 2-year-old filly found March 27, according to police reports.
The horses were in good health before their deaths, the report states. An autopsy was being performed by a veterinarian, and results are pending, police said.
