A man was flown to a hospital Thursday morning after being crushed by a “large construction vehicle,” according to state police.
The accident occurred just after 10 a.m. on Hilltop Road and Gray Hollow Road, police said.
The man had been conscious at the time of the accident; his condition was not known.
Equipment at the scene of the incident included a backhoe, a small loader and multiple trucks.
Employees of Eagle Towing and Recovery, of Milesburg, were on the scene but said they had no comment.
State police at Clearfield are handling the incident. No information has been released by police, including the name of the injured man.
Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services confirmed being on scene for the call, but that transport was made by medical helicopter.
UPMC Altoona is the closest trauma facility to the scene, but was unable to confirm that the victim was treated there.
Scott Surgeoner, a spokeman for First Energy in Pennsylvania, said Eagle was doing clean-up work outside the fence of the Penelec substation in Wallaceton when one of Eagle’s employees was struck by one of that company’s trucks.
