Scuffle leads to charges after State College man threatens bar staff with tobacco pipe

When an employee gets the ax, it isn’t usually from a customer.

That’s probably why an argument at Cafe 210 West prompted police involvement Wednesday.

State College police said they responded to an incident at the tavern when a patron got into an argument with staff.

Ridwan Kazeem, 27, of State College allegedly pulled out a tobacco pipe during the exchange.

However, the pipe didn’t look like a pipe. It looked like a battle ax.

Kazeem was arrested and taken in front of District Judge Steven Lachman, who found him guilty of disorderly conduct.

Lachman ordered him to pay $100 and spend two days in jail, pending a psychological evaluation within the next 48 hours.
