Harris Township supervisors voted Monday to increase the reward for information about possible suspects in the May 4 vandalism to Boalsburg Cemetery.

A $3,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for damage to headstones that were pulled out of the ground, knocked over and broken.

Most of the damage was done to headstones behind Zion Lutheran Church, on the corner of Church Street and Old Boalsburg Road.

A ground-mounted spotlight also was damaged at St. John’s United Church of Christ, across the street from the Zion Lutheran Church and the Boalsburg Cemetery.

Anyone with information is asked to call State College police at 234-7150 or to submit an anonymous tip through the State College website, http://www.statecollegepa.us/index.aspx?NID=589.
