July 10, 2014 11:52 PM

A one-vehicle crash in Spring Township sent one woman to Mount Nittany Medical Center by ambulance.

Sandra Butler, 54, of Cochranton Borough, Crawford County, told Spring Township police she lost her brakes as she attempted to make a right turn down the mountain on state Route 144 near Old Greens Valley Road.

Her 2004 Dodge Caravan went off the right side of the road and up the embankment, then rolled over.

“A witness said she was going the speed limit, and she just didn’t make the turn,” detective Dale Moore said.
